Mint-Chocolate Brownies

March 10, 2020 - Leave a Comment

My least favorite combination is probably mint and chocolate. York peppermint patties, Andes Mints, even Girl Scout Thin Mints are not a temptation for me. My sister in-law made these brownies for years and I never tasted them. Even after all the ranting and raving about how delicious they were, I

St. Patricks Day Bread

March 9, 2020 - Leave a Comment

One of my favorite traditions is making green bread for St. Patricks Day, and I'm pretty sure the kids enjoy it to. The first year I started this fun tradition I only made rolls and we had green rolls for days. The next year I decided to use the dough for several different things and we've

Heart Shaped Chicken Fried Steak

February 10, 2020 - Leave a Comment

We've been having these little guys for as long as I can remember. They're simple, tasty and so, so cute! Start by blending two packages of Stove Top Stuffing. (This recipe makes about 10 patties. You can adjust the ingredients to fit your size of family.) After the stuffing has

Holiday Slush

December 9, 2019 - Leave a Comment

Our family loves this slush. It is so nice to have on hand throughout the holidays. I make a batch every December and we usually finish it up on New Years Eve. My favorite juice is grapefruit juice and I love that you can taste it in the slush but it's not too strong like grapefruit juice

Raspberry Pretzel Salad

November 25, 2019 - Leave a Comment

This is an absolute favorite and staple at most of our family gatherings. I've yet to decide whether it should be classified as a dessert or salad because it is 1- Sweet and yummy enough to be a dessert but 2- It has raspberries and Jell-O which kind of suggests salad. I guess that's not the

Buttermilk Syrup

October 23, 2019 - Leave a Comment

I don't measure the Karo, I just eyeball it. I add the baking soda first so I can use the same measuring spoon. Our favorite thing to eat with this yummy syrup are these delicious Pumpkin Pancakes. Buttermilk Syrup This yummy syrup can be eaten on more than just pancakes and

Deviled Eggs

April 17, 2019 - Leave a Comment

I am super traditional when it comes to my Deviled Eggs. I don't like to get crazy with olives and onions and such. Just the traditional Miracle Whip, Mustard and seasoning. That's where I struggled. I could never get them seasoned quite right. When I asked my mom her secret, she said it was

Green Bread

March 14, 2019 - 2 Comments

Happy St. Patrick's Day! This is a half batch of my basic roll recipe. I color it green and use it to make a variety of breads for our family to enjoy on St. Patrick's Day! As with any bread recipe, start by combining the yeast, water and a bit of sugar. While waiting for the yeast to

St. Patrick’s Day Food Ideas

March 12, 2019 - 2 Comments

At some point you are going to hear me say that every holiday is "my favorite holiday". I guess that means I really love holidays--all of them! As weird as it may seem, St. Patricks day is no exception. Pork, Baked Potato with green Sour Cream, & Jell-o Salad We don't have a naughty

Instagram post 2339632649234126173_9786037935 🇺🇸What’s your favorite part of an M&M or Chocolate Chip Cookie? 🍪The cookie or the chocolate? I’ll be honest, I like the cookie more than the chocolate! These M&M cookies are delicious no matter how much chocolate you add, they’re also a perfect treat for your 4th of July festivities!🇺🇸
.
•M&M COOKIES•
•1 C. Butter
•2 tsp. Vanilla
•1 tsp. Salt
•1 C. Brown Sugar
•1/2 C. White Sugar
•2 Eggs
•1 tsp. Baking Soda
•2 3/4 C. Flour
•1-2 C. M&M’s + more to press on top. *Cream Butter, (barely softened) Vanilla, Sugars, & Salt. Add eggs & stir slightly. Add Flour and Soda and stir just until combined, don’t over mix. Last but not least, stir in the M&M’s. I like the mini M&M’s but you can use the regular ones as well. I also like to add 1 cup to the dough and then press a few on the top after scooping them on the pan. Bake @ 375’ for 8-10 mins. I prefer Convection Bake if you have it. When using Convection, I still bake @ 375’ for about 7 mins.
Instagram post 2338904758301083050_9786037935 We added some labels to the garage this week and I’m loving them. The @avery clear labels are perfect for these bins. And these bins are perfect for this garage! @30daysblog recommended them and I love them! I love how you can see through them enough to know there’s something in them but they blur the objects enough to keep things looking tidy. I also love that they are only $3 & $5.🤗
.
•What excuses will they come up with for not taking care of their things now? “I didn’t know where it went,”🤷🏼‍♂️ just isn’t going to fly anymore!🤗
Instagram post 2338193627026785405_9786037935 The frames are hanging, once again, only this time they have pictures in them.🤗 If you haven’t been watching my stories than you don’t know what a hassle it’s been getting these hung. Every morning I found more on the floor. Here’s hoping they stay this time. •Now that I have pictures I want to hang a large sign on the blank shiplapped wall you see as you enter the tunnel. (Swipe to see it.) This tunnel leads to a b-ball court and swimming pool. On one hand I’d like the sign to be sports related like a quote from a famous athlete or something. And on the other, I’d like something personal to our family. What would you put there? Send me all your favorite quotes, or ideas, please🙏🏼. • In the meantime, if you see me following my child out to center field, don’t mind me, I’ve just got a few more frames to fill!😜 #coolmom .

Instagram post 2335316620743989731_9786037935 If my family had a “secret family recipe,” it’d probably be this yummy Oatmeal Cake. Lucky for you, it’s no secret and you can find it on the blog!🤗 Click the link in my bio! •Don’t let the oatmeal keep you from trying it! It has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. It’d be a perfect addition to your Father’s Day dinner. The best thing about it is that it can practically be considered a health food! WIN-WIN!!! And you’re welcome! 😘 Have a great weekend!

Instagram post 2333863681735001509_9786037935 I cleaned a couple more cupboards today!💃🏻 Hanging my hot pads inside a couple of my cupboards has really helped keep my towel drawer in tip top shape. They used to take up so much room in that drawer. I hung two above my oven and two below my stove. They’re super easy to grab and everyone knows where they belong. I just hung them with some command hooks! How did we ever survive without command hooks? •Now the only cupboards I have left are the lazy susan and the water bottle cupboard. I don’t know how we accumulate so many water bottles but we do! Wish me luck!🤪

Instagram post 2332419135134441411_9786037935 The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! I spent the day cleaning my kitchen and swapping the pink for Red, White & Blue! 🇺🇸 I am loving the change of scenery and looking forward to celebrating with friends and family!
